VARIABLE CAPITAL COMPANY
In January 2020, Singapore launched its Variable Capital Company (VCC) regime. A VCC is a corporate structure that can house a wide range of investment funds/mandates and provides fund managers with greater operational flexibility and cost savings. The regime has been a major success, with some 2,000 VCCs in operation and which are managed by some 580 fund managers.
